Closing the Casebook for 2027

In short: Inspector Brochard closes the year. His casebook gains a new entry roughly once a month, each answering a real question about Hotel: Murder Mystery, and Escape This gift vouchers for the room are sold on escapethis.com.au.

Wednesday. The last entry of the year, or near enough. My casebook is full again. I have ordered a new one, in green leather, which I feel suits the hotel.

I have bought my sister a voucher for the hotel for Christmas. She has always believed she would make a better inspector than I. Now she may prove it, or be arrested, and I shall enjoy either.

In the new year I shall go on as before: once a month or so, a page for whoever has stepped out of the lift and whatever they have asked me at the desk. What I will not write, now or ever, is who did it. The suspects who come next year deserve to find out for themselves, as the ones before them did.

Joyeux Noël from the gendarmerie, the stairs and Croissant, who wishes it known that he has been very good, and would like that reflected in pastry.

— Insp. A. Brochard, Gendarmerie
